Self-assessment profiles are sometimes referred to as "instruments." These
are paper and pencil or computer administered questionnaires that enable individuals to
gain greater self-insight. Some instruments are used only as self-assessments, others are
designed to solicit feedback from others. They improve self-knowledge that is essential to
success. Incorporating a self-assessment profile into a training program enriches and
personalizes the education for each participant.
The Business Center is an authorized distributor for a variety of highly popular and
very useful instruments produced by the Carlson Learning Company. Each of these is
described briefly here. Facilitator Kits can be purchased for profiles. Contact The
Business Center for additional details. Potential uses are identified as: L = Leadership,
S = Sales/Customer Service, G = General.
